element 5 These show the 5 Chinese elements of Earth, Fire, Metal, Water and Wood personified.
2008 ~ 2009 The first few works are part of the SHOW ME THE HONEY series. It involves a fusion of the erotic with the disgusting. The next batch are some random pieces I have been currently experimenting with.
pig series While working on some drafts for a client's CD cover, I accidentally created a creature that was half-man and half-pig. The clients ended up choosing one of my other drafts for the final, but the concept of this creature stuck to me and I decided to further it on my own. I guess to a certain extent, it may represent some of my unresolved childhood thoughts and memories.
interpretation series These works were all "remakes" of past and present paintings that I thought were quite interesting. But instead of simply mimicking each piece, I injected my style into it and came up with my own interpretation...
candice the ghost series Spacing off one day in the winter of 2005, a story popped into my head about a girl who dies before her age and becomes a ghost. Her desire to become human forces her to look upon the human race with jealousy and rage - a kind of love/hate relationship. Ultimately through eastern philosophy she learns to control her inner demons, attain inner peace and help mankind. Click HERE for the entire story outline of candice the ghost.
block series For the lack of a better term, here are my trademark block series. Technically, these works involve integrating the rendered 3D file with the wireframe in Photoshop and then overlaying traditional textures on top of them.
contemplation series This partial body of work was an ongoing series that lasted from 2001 to 2005. It dwells upon the spectrum of human emotions, desires and needs.
classic series Heres a little bit of everything. Some are from when i first started experimenting on the Mac over 12 years ago, some are from the Inferno gallery.
original paintings From time to time, I enjoy taking breaks from the computer to paint traditionally. The smell and touch of paint and canvas is a feeling you cant get working digitally. I intend to create more of these in the future.
